Halt Poverty Madagascar

What We Do

  • Our mission: To improve well being through services and technology.
  • Our target: Anyone with a job market disadvantaged due to lack of education, job skills, or experience.
  • Our vision: We are working toward a world where tourism workforces have a decent life — free of poverty.
  • Our solutions: We contribute to achieve inclusive tourism to better livelihoods by improving skills.

How We Protect Lemurs And Other Wildlife

We are improving living standards for communities in Madagascar through tourism-based skills training, job placement, entrepreneurs’ development services, and sustainable livelihoods. By doing this, we help reduce poverty and the need for overconsumption of natural forest resources, thus protecting lemurs and other wildlife.

How We Support Local Communities

We hope to achieve the goal to alleviate poverty in Madagascar through initiatives that:

  • Contribute to environmental and cultural preservation.
  • Encourage local people to tackle deforestation by planting native and fruit bearing trees.
  • Use tourism to improve professional skills and provide people with means of escaping the heavy dependence on threatened natural resources.

When practiced responsibly, tourism can become the sector for people seeking a way out of poverty and the vector for preservation of nature and culture. Responsible tourism must provide decent working conditions, access to training, career opportunities, and the sound participation of local people.
